How to Peak an Antenna

Once you find the satellite, you need to Peak it.  Please CONFIRM that you have PEAKED the antenna with the following procedure:

1. fine tune EL to maximize eb/no
2. fine tune AZ to maximize eb/no
3. LOCK ALL AZ bolts/nuts
4. fine tune EL again to maximize eb/no
5. LOCK all EL nuts
6. if you have a LINEAR antenna, then proceed to rotate feed in either direction to maximize eb/no reading.

Typically the best way to peak the antenna is with the transmit signal coming out of the antenna, but, the easiest/least complicated way is to peak based on eb/no reading at the remote site.
